Editorial policy

How we create content you can trust.

Every page on Gateway to Events exists to help event teams make better decisions faster. We follow a set of editorial principles that govern how we research, write, and update our content. Here is exactly what those principles look like in practice.

Editorial independence

No vendor can pay for a higher ranking on our site. Affiliate commissions help fund our research, but they never influence how we score, rank, or recommend tools. Our editorial team makes all scoring decisions independently.

Evidence-based reviews

We rely on product walkthroughs, published pricing pages, and real-world workflows to evaluate tools. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not include it in our assessment. Vendor marketing copy is never treated as evidence.

Regular content updates

Event software changes frequently. When vendors update pricing, ship major features, or change their positioning, we review and update our content. Outdated information helps nobody, and we take accuracy seriously.

How we work

Our editorial process from start to publish.

1

Research and testing

We sign up for the product, walk through key workflows, and document the experience. We also review pricing pages, support docs, and integration options.

2

Scoring and review

We apply our scoring rubric consistently across all tools. Each factor is weighted based on how much it matters to event teams making purchasing decisions.

3

Publish and monitor

After publication, we monitor for changes in the product, pricing, or market positioning. When something shifts, we update our content and adjust scores if needed.
